Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has given the reason for his side's defeat to Lazio in the Champions League round of 16 on Wednesday.
Kane said Bayern lacked “energy and confidence”, especially in the second half against Lazio.
Remember that Bayern didn't manage a single shot against the Serie A side as Ciro Immobile's 69th penalty was enough to give the home side victory against Thomas Tuchel's side.
Dayot Upamecano was sent off for the visitors after conceding the spot in the second half.
Kane himself also missed a sitter from yards out in the opening minutes of the match.
Speaking after the game, Kane told TNT Sports: “Really tough week. In the first half we started well and had clear chances, one for me. In these games there are big moments.
“The second half was disappointing. We came out with less energy and less confidence. Too many balls were given away. We were punished. Once you get down to 10 men it's always tough. We just have to turn it around. A toy or a spark can turn it around.”
