The Barcelona player Lamine Yamal left the Spanish team’s concentration in Las Rozas this Tuesday after being evaluated by the medical services of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) for the injury to the iliopsoas in his left leg. “He will not be able to participate in the next two qualifying matches for Euro 2024 that will face Spain against Scotland in Seville (this Thursday) and against Norway in Oslo (on Sunday),” the statement said.

The 16-year-old Spanish attacker arrived at Ciudad del Fútbol this Monday with the injury he suffered on Sunday in the Barcelona match in Granada. The illness prevented him from exercising with the rest of his teammates. The Spanish team’s doctors reviewed Yamal’s condition on Monday afternoon and studied the report provided by the player from the tests they performed on him during the morning in Barcelona. Finally, the tests carried out on him this Tuesday morning ruled that he was not in a position to face either match.

After the injury suffered by Yeremy Pino on Sunday with Villarreal, coach Luis de la Fuente has already named two new players for his squad, Bryan Zaragoza and Ansu Fati, who trained with the group in the afternoon session in Las Rozas.
